The Chechen Society of Norway will hold a demonstration on Thursday 23rd February to commemorate the anniversary of the deportation of the Chechen people in 1944. In addition, a meeting with representatives of the Norwegian Society will be held in Oslo. The Chechen Society of Norway are working in co-operation with the Norwegian Support Committee for Chechnya which is headed by well-known people in Norway, such as Ingvald Gudal and Kjel Ole Jensen.
